Andrew Duck For Congress Committee
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
May 16, 2005
Andrew Duck will be charging across Maryland's Sixth District to officially declare that he is a candidate for the United States House of Representatives in the 2006 election.
Andrew Duck, a resident of Frederick County, will begin his announcement tour in Frederick on May 25. All are invited to meet him at 10:00 a.m. in Veterans' Park located at the corner of N. Bentz and W. 2nd Street. This site was chosen because Mr. Duck is a U.S. Army veteran with recent duty in Operation Iraqi Freedom, as well as multiple deployments to Bosnia. His training, leadership experience, and knowledge of military and government operations will be important assets to him in Congress at a time when our nation is at war.
At noon, May 25, Mr. Duck will greet the public in Hagerstown at the Plaza adjacent to the University System of Maryland, across from the courthouse on Washington Street. He will then move on to Cumberland, where he will meet with voters at the Downtown Mall at the corner of Baltimore and Liberty Streets. At each stop, he will greet the public, make a formal announcement, and respond to questions, and some time will be available to listen to issues of concern relating to that part of the district.
On May 26, Mr. Duck and members of his staff will be in Westminster, in front of the Public Library on Main Street at 10:00 a.m. to meet citizens of Carroll County and deliver his statement. At noon, he will be meeting voters from Harford County at the Jarrettsville Junction at the intersection of Routes 23 and 24.
A gala finale to the announcement tour will be a celebration at Beans in the Belfry on W. Potomac Street in his present home town of Brunswick. The festivities will begin at 7:00 p.m. and the public is invited. This will be an opportunity for all those who could not attend mid-day events to meet with Mr. Duck, and ask questions relating to issues of concern.
