We should restore the protections that were rolled back by the Bush Administration
Clean air and water are public assets, and should be protected to provide for the welfare of all citizens. Some examples of this are:
- Defend the Clean Air Act
- Defend the Clean Water Act
- The “Healthy Forests Act” supports logging, not forests
- The “Clear Skies Act” endangers our air quality.
- We should not drill in ANWR
We need to promote alternative energy as part of a Federal program to eliminate our dependence on foreign oil within ten years. We cannot rely on one method to achieve this, we will need a "portfolio of alternatives" to be successful.
