CONGRESSMAN CARDIN AND ANDREW DUCK ENDORSE ONE ANOTHERS EFFORTS
Andrew Duck and Congressman Ben Cardin Join Forces in 2006 Campaign
(Frederick, MD) Today, Andrew Duck, Democratic Candidate for Congress in Maryland’s 6th District, and Congressman Ben Cardin, Democratic Candidate for Senate, announced their mutual campaign endorsements. The mutual endorsements come as both campaigns gain strength in the final stretch before the September 12th primary.
"Ben Cardin understands the needs of Western Maryland families. He has been an effective leader in Maryland for more than 30 years and has a track record of getting real results,” Duck explained. “We need Ben's voice in the Senate to help bring better schools, more affordable health care and good-paying jobs to Western Maryland."
"Andrew Duck has served his country for over 20 years in the United States Army,” Congressman Cardin said. “With that experience, Andrew has shown the kind of leadership and commitment to Maryland values we need to restore in Washington D.C. I look forward to working with him in Congress."
The two candidates will join together today in Hagerstown for a jobs roundtable lunch, beginning at 2:00 PM, at the Schmankerl Stube Restaurant at 58 South Potomac Street then participate in a walking tour of Downtown Frederick, starting at the corner of Main and Patrick Streets at 4:00 PM.
Andrew Duck is a native Marylander and 20 year Army veteran who served in Iraq and Bosnia. He currently serves as an intelligence advisor for Northrop Grumman. Andrew lives with his wife Whitney in Brunswick. They have three children and a grandchild on the way.
Congressman Cardin was elected to represent Maryland’s 3rd Congressional in 1987 and is currently a candidate for United States Senate. Ben and his wife of 41 years, Myrna, grew up in the same Forest Park neighborhood of Baltimore and met in elementary school.
