WOODSBORO, MD – Democratic Congressional candidate and Iraq War veteran Andrew Duck collected over $30,000 in his first full quarter of fundraising, more than incumbent Roscoe Bartlett.
“This is a good start for our campaign to take back Maryland’s 6th District,” said Duck. “We’re going to build on this start and have the resources to take our message to the voters next November.”Bartlett, an eight-term incumbent, raised only $23,000 during the second quarter, after reporting just $8,000 in the first, mostly from his own political action committee. Campaign spokesman Walter Ludwig said “It is rare for a challenger to outraise an incumbent this early in an election cycle. Andrew already had message, now he has momentum, as well.”
